Bilateral orbital Erdheim-Chester disease was diagnosed. Systemic evaluation revealed a retroperitoneal fibrosis. Treatment with interferon-alpha followed, but bilateral compressive optic neuropathy with visual acuity deterioration and visual field defects evolved.
