Abstract

ZrPt intermetallic compound was studied by perturbed angular correlation (PAC) method. The hyperfine interaction parameters and their temperature dependences for Hf-181/Ta-181 and In-111/Cd-111 radioactive probes were determined. An unusual temperature dependence of hyperfine interaction parameters for Ta-181 probe atoms points to the appearance of a monoclinic variant of CrB-type phase below 573 K and confirms the existence of the orthorhombic B-i-type phase at temperatures up to 1023 K.
