Bibliography of prints and manuscripts of Johannes Hedwig (1730-1799)

Abstract

A bibliographic survey is given on the work of the eighteenth century scientist and bryologist JOHANNES HEDWIG (1730-1799) including manuscripts as well as printed publications. A total of 49 publications were identified, 47 of them within the period from 1751-1801, starting with a manuscript of a poem due to a wedding ceremony and ending with the posthumely published Species Muscorum Frondosorum by SCHWAEGRICHEN. Additionaly 2 printings were included, a trans ration in 1805 covering HEDWIGS findings on stomata and the Reprint of the Species Muscorum Frondosorum in 1960.
