dc.notes.internNot valid abstract: Considering the set of closed shift\\.02invariant subspaces Vj \\.03j \\.00100000 ZZ\\.04 of L\\.00100000\\.03lR\\.04 generated by a re\\.05nable function vector \\.03\\.06 we give necessary and su\\.acient conditions for the re\\.05nement mask of \\.03 ensur\\.b ing controlled approximation order m. In particular\\.06 algebraic poly\\.b nomials can be exactly reproduced in V\\.02 if and only if the re\\.05nement mask of \\.03 can be factorized. The results are illustrated by B\\.02splines with multiple knots.
