Case Study Germany: Uncertainty and the transition to adulthood

Abstract

The aim of this chapter is twofold. First, we want to better understand how labor market entrants in Germany in the 1980s and 1990s have been affected by pre-carious employment and unemployment. Second, we will investigate how being in a precarious position influences first partnership formation and the conception of a first child.
