Abstract
This case report deals with a 9.5 year-old Pietrain boar which was clinically suspected of having a neoplasia in the left testis that reached a volume of 33 x 27 x 26 cm. By means of necropsy, pathohistological and immunohistochemical examinations a diffuse, solid and highly infiltrative growing seminoma with multiple emboli of neoplastic cell, in blood and lymphatic vessels could be diagnosed. The right testis did not show any pathological changes during clinical examination and dissection, but histopathologically an intratubular seminoma was identified. Metastases could be found neither macroscopically nor histologically in other parts of the body. This case report implies that in boars testestumors would have a higher incidience, if the boar population was allowed to grow old.
